Producer/Director - Jesse Steele. A distinguished graduate of the Los Angeles Film School, Steele has gained film experience in a variety of capacities, including producing, editing and directing on numerous feature length and short films, television commercials and music videos.

An American, born in California, and raised in Oregon Steele grew up with small town ethics and a penchant for the arts and storytelling. Cloistered in a provincial environment the local cinema offered escape, the martial arts provided focus, and thoughts of far-off lands created dreams. Always a good student he began studying language at 14, traveling at 15, filmmaking at 16, and hasn’t slowed down since.

Steele received a Bachelors degree in International Studies and Business from the University of Oregon. He speaks 5 languages, gained valuable experience and was an athlete with Waseda University in Tokyo and Stanford University where he received one of 3 black belts. He developed his business acumen with several technology companies in Silicon Valley and around the world before moving to Hollywood after the dot com crash.

After completing his post-graduate studies at the Los Angeles Film School Steele was very active as a director and editor, and was honored with the BHFF Golden Palm for Best Editing. Since then Steele joined Producer Raliza Hofstetter to created SuperNova Productions and incorporated the Swiss firm The Other Side Inc. / Sofia Film, specifically to produce the feature film SOFIA written by Academy Award winning screenwriter Ron Bass.

Steele is currently producing several feature films within SuperNova, and planning his feature-directing debut. While he remains active as a music video and commercial director, TEARS OF THE MOTHERLAND marks his foray into documentary directing. The powerful subject matter has enticed him to create a long-form documentary and feature film to display to the world the injustice and scandal behind the imprisonment of the nurses in Libya.
